Are Natural Tiles expensive?

Natural tiles are more expensive than ceramic or porcelain tiles. However, when purchasing natural tiles, view it as an investment that can add significant value to your home.

What types of stone are available at the Natural Tile Studio?

We supply all types of natural stone ranging from marble, travertine, limestone, slate, basalt and granite.

Is one natural stone tile better than the other?

Each type of natural stone is unique and has different characteristics that make them harder, softer or shinier. The type of stone you choose will be influenced by what you want to use them for and where you want to put them. With over 35 years experience of supplying natural tiles our staff are more than happy to give advice on which tile is best suited to your needs.

What finishes are available for natural stone tiles?

The natural tiles that we supply are available in the following finishes: Honed, Polished, Hand Polished Slate, Tumbled and Brushed.

Does Natural Stone Tiles have variations in colour?

Yes. Marble Tiles, Granite Tiles, Travertine Tiles and Limestone Tiles are a 100% natural material and may contain Colour Variations, Pitting and Blemishes but that’s what makes them special. What you buy is individual to you.

Do natural tiles need to be sealed?

Yes. All natural tiles need to be sealed to prevent water penetration which may result in staining. The sealing needs to be applied after the tiles have been laid and then periodically – depending on whether the floor is subject to low or high traffic.
